ARC'TERYX_Nepal Action+Lifestyle

The action to compliment the Himalayan eye candy.

A sincere thanks to my model on this one. Who else could you ask to run on demand at 4500 metres with 4am starts, skip dinner to work during sunset, run all morning then hike all day, carry more than one outfit change as well as share the camera load AND live side by side with me for 24/7 for 25 days straight?

No one plays that role more graciously than a little sister. Eliza -  Thank You. For working so hard, even when we hadn't eaten and for always keeping me entertained.

ARC'TERYX_Nepal Himalayas

Himalayan eye candy from my ARC'TERYX trekking/trail running photo shoot in Nepal.

Words truly aren't adequate enough for a place that consistently left me speechless. Enjoy these instead!

Cleaning out the Blog-webs

Time to clean out the cobwebs of this very patient blog. Starting with a sampling of what's been hanging out in the the photo vault of late. It's time this blog saw a little more frequent fast paced action. Let's start with...

Around the world in 15 photos.

Chamonix Exhibition

Galileo Coffee Co in Britannia Beach is hosting my B+W Chamonix Collection til the end of July. A well known locale to anyone who cruises the Sea to Sky, especially those that partake in the daily Squamish-Vancouver office commute.

I like their style - equal parts character & coffee in a truly supreme location of both mountains & ocean. Check out their walls next time you need a coffee fix!

Backcountry Magazine

Better late than never. Backcountry Mag... er, from November, with one of my pics. Thanks to the skier who laid this track. You know who you are.

Powder Mag

My good friend Laura Ogden wrote a wonderful eulogy at the beginning of the winter about her husband Jack, who was killed in an avalanche on Mt Currie in March of last year. Powder ran an action photo of mine alongside the article. I took the photograph of Jack the last day we all skied together. Laura and I were reminiscing about that day while we were skiing in the same area a few weeks back so I thought it was well deserving of a post. I have a lot of single great memories from that day alone. RIP Jack.

ARC'TERYX in Europe_2

Some warm sunny days in Tirol, Austria. If you ever go to St Anton, absolutely stay at the Piltriquitron Skiers Lodge. It truly is 100% skier tranquility as they claim.

ARC'TERYX in Europe

Following a historically sunny and snowless year in the alps, I went against all snow odds and headed to Europe for Arc'teryx in March. Got to work with the Arc'teryx European snowsports athlete crew - who are as entertaining as they are hard workers. Thanks Italy, Switzerland and Austria for always being so fabulous. Snow was a little scarce and the temps could have been mistaken for summer but you still came through with the goods.
